The table of contents I designed was more or less extremely simple which is something I do find to be very good in the long run. For me the more complicated something is then the harder it is for me to read it. So I thought when designing my table of contents and my design throughout my magazine I was trying to pull off that simple theme. I think that’s what readers like to see Is simple themes of magazines because it is then so easy to read. People don’t like extremely complicated magazines because then it just becomes a nuisance.

The photoshoot was scheduled for the 20 th and it didn’t take long. We ordered some of the food that I had to take pictures of and then some of the dishes I had the opportunity of going to the line and taking a photo of them. We went to both restaurants on the 20 th and took the photos we needed and then I utilized them. It was a very easy process thank s to my neighbors who helped me tremendously.

So when I was thinking of some of the locations that I should take pictures I again thought of my neighbors. I asked them if it would be ok if I could come to their restaurants and take pictures for a school project and they said sure. So in turn I went to the lazy parrot, and the lucky pelican. I wanted the magazine to focus on seafood so I thought that the easiest dishes to take pictures of would be lobster and fish. So the locations I chose had the best opportunities for those dishes.

I would think that the basic feature of the cover design is just to attract readers. I am no miracle worker at designing things. Some of the features I wanted to use were just to showcase some of the food that I took pictures of and give the readers some of the elements of what would be included in the magazine. Which would be a seafood issue. This isn’t the best cover ever made but I did want to make it simple for the reader. My ideology is that the less complicated it is the easier it is to understand.

When thinking about what I wanted to do for a magazine I thought about the best possible opportunities I had at my disposal. So I thought of food because both my neighbors katie and mark are waiters at restaurants. Specifically the Lazy parrot an the Lucky pelican. So the interview was scheduled for the 20 th and some of thee questions I decided to ask were for example. “ whats your favorite part about your job”. “what’s your favorite dish to serve”. Or even “what are your favorite type of customers to serve”. I really wanted to understand the kind of culture that they live in at the restaurant. As well as it was very easy to interview them since they are my neighbors.

The flat plan that we specifically created our flat plan was to evenly spread out our articled and our advertisement. The flats plans use is to plan out the style and the order in which we want our articles to be read in. We usually had a 2 to 3 page article and then advertisements separating that article with the next one. The reason being is because we wanted the reader to see the advertisement yet at the same time still be intrigued to continue reading on to the next article. Our articles are explicitly evened out and we did that for the purpose of keeping the reader reading while also seeing the advertisements.

The cover layout of this article has an extremely blue layout that kind of coincides with the theme. The background is a dark brown with a light blue tablecloth and then the center picture is a light blue bowl with an orange soup with dark complexion. It is extremely appealing and I would think that it is most likely because the magazine can be geared toward cruises the blue appeals to the ocean. The majority of the magazines layout is extremely vibrant colors of blues a reds. Almost as if it is an exotic magazine. Partly due to the fact of it also being a travel magazine. The articles consists of articles per the country or city for example “Venice” on page 25. As well as “Chinese” on page 33. These articles are more of a culture base and feature on ethnic cuisines. This magazine is published 10 times a year and is usually in the span of 6 to 8 weeks. I do not believe that this magazine was accredited to any awards.

The eating well magazine cover layout is an extremely bright cover with a mixture of textures and colors surround the magazine. The majority of the overall color scheme is extremely bright throughout. A It is the November and December issue it is most likely that the reason it is so bright is because it is the Christmas time. Using that color scheme it does attract readers. Some of the advertisements include holiday shopping from certain retailers because it is the Christmas issue. Yet the majority of the articles are centers around holiday foods such as baked ham on page 45 and dessert recipes on page 23. Those advertisements usually have something to do with the holiday or what the articles are conveying. The majority of pictures that appear on these articles have to do with the foods surrounding the holiday. Such as foods like ham, and cookies and turkey that associate with Christmas and other holidays. This is a bi monthly magazine so it is published 6 times a year. This specific...

The cover layout of this magazine has a dark layout and a dark background. Set in the center however is a turkey that apparently seems to have a turkey set on fire in the middle. Most likely to achieve inquiry and awe to thee audience. Most of the color scheme and layout is extremely dark and then have some sort of light center object to provide a level of awe in the article and magazine. That also goes for the table of contents and the majority of the articles. Some of the artivles that appear in the magazine are some for example, “mad genius cookies” on page 38 and killer “potato pancakes on page” 52. With ads they are usually spaced out directly after the articles and thee directly before the next one. For example occurring on page 49 to 51 for example. Mostly geared towards the family style of kitchen utensils things used to cut or clean in the kitchen. The article is a monthly issue and is published 12 times a year. The cover layout of the magazine consists of pastry’s from an Aerial shot seeming to be shooting out of a container.  The basic cover has a gray and white background. Yet the pastry’s coming out of the box are a vibrant crimson red. Giving the food on the cover much more vibrancy and realness. This magazine features articles such as a classic shrimp cocktail on page 66. And a recipe for pineapple glazed Ham on page 84. The ads for this magazine consists of companies producing kitchen utensils and products consisting of grills and even kitchen sets. Most of the ads in the article are geared to family style oriented meterials. And usually have something to do with food for that family. The types of photos that are on the table of contents usually have a bleak background and then have a vibrant colored meat or food to give the article or the table of contents more of an appeal. This article is usually published 10 times a year and can vary through 6 to ten weeks in between each issu...

Throughout the films that i have seen i have grown quite a interest in creating a film of my own. Throughout those films that i have seen a numerous amount of qualities that i would like to create. For example throughout the newsrooms first season the character development was insightful. Thats kind of what i want to do if i were to make a film. Even though it is hard to create character development in 2 minutes thats what i would want it to focus on. The skills i posses for the film project is i think i would be able to take a leadership role in creating the film. People would need direction when we are creating the film so i could take that role. As well as having patience through the editing process and multiple takes of scenes if people were to mess up. A challenge that i would have throughout the filming process would be working and depending on other people.
