Marketing Plan

The marketing plan that this product will take on is one that sells its issues digitally. Since we are moving into the age of the digital market it would be in the best interest to distribute my magazine on the website. A website would be the most efficient in distributing the magazine. Here is an example of a magazine that is able to distribute and market on their website. Next, the second way that this product would be marketed it through the usage of advertisements on social media. Here would be an example of a magazine being marketed on social media. Specifically instagram which is key in our products marketing plan. Since the majority of people the use social media are young, and our target audience is mostly older parents. This would allow our magazine to be marketed to younger readers. Which in turn would not only expand the audience of the magazine, but also help represent and sell to another social group.

target Audience 3 (St Louis magazine)

St Louis magazine utilized a marketing technique to engage its readers throughout the country. It held a fan vote to get the target audience engaged. In this sense we do have the same target audience because there issue about this one was specifically to pizza. They had people vote and send in pictures of their favorite local pizza joints in order to have a chance of getting it recognized in the magazine itself. This was mostly advertised online by their website to stir interest in the magazine itself.  This would be really great to implement for my magazine because we could have people across the nation vote for what their favorite local seafood restaurant is. It would stir interest because for the people sending pictures in to the magazine would then want to buy the subscription or magazine. Thus the target audience would be able to be engaged with not only the contest itself but also the magazine. n

Target Audience 2 (Austin Monthly)

The Austin monthly put together a competition for an article that they would put in their magazine. The persuasive techniques that they utilized were an array of marketing skill and technique. The example would be using a competition that other businesses or people can do to stir and create interest in the magazine issue. The media used to create the hype was mostly online. Since the magazine industry is mostly online they used their website to create interest. As well as the use of social media was extremely prominent. Since activities like this usually allow for communities across the nation. In order to do that the magazine utilized its social media to market the competition thus the magazine. This is a great idea that i would love to apply to my magazine. For example hosting a food competition in a prominent community would stir interest into my magazine. For example if we focused on seafood going to a coastal community and hosting a competition would create a lot of interest. I...

Target audience post 1 (food network Magazine)

The target audience of food network magazine and the magazine are the same, primarily because we both publish the same sort of content. Which is specific to food and the network surrounding food in the first place. The way that food network magazine has advertised their product is primarily through the usage of famous celebrities. Like Martha Stewart, or Rachel Ray, Bobby Flay, and Guy Fieri. Food network magazine usually places the celebrity at the top of the magazines to attract buyers or to make the magazine seem more appealing in the long run. Another way that they promoted this magazine is that because it has a parent tv network they have the ability for celebrities on their shows to insert a blurb saying "check out my recipes on this months Food Network Magazine." Using this digital form of advertisement. I would definitely adopt the practice of using celebrities to promote products. Since the reality of it is that Americans think that they can relate ...
