project selection magazine

Some of the strengths that i think i posses in doing this certain project is first, having an extremely good work ethic. This magazine requires students to have an extremely good work ethic all around from planning out the magazine to actually getting pages put together. It would prove to be extremely tedious work and as it goes on the work requires the student to be very patient. I think i can be very patient with my work as i will just have to put in the most effort that i can at that point. Some of the weaknesses that i would have while doing this project were i would find it overall boring and long. I like projects to be in the now instead of projects to take months on end, and i believe the magazine would just be more of a bore than the film would be. Overall there are a lot of strengths and weaknesses that i would posses if i were to chose this project. However i do think in some cases the positives outweigh the negatives.

Bon Apetit is another large Food Magazine Enterprise that is in the national spotlight. Bon Apetit has been able to distribute is magazine and articles all online. As well as having a subscription service. Bon Apetit uses their website to stir interest and to digitally distribute thier magazine. This article labeled on the website "Top 10 Dishes in march" They use this to help create engagement and the website allows them to digitally distribute not only their magazine but also the articles. When the company allows their articles to be published separately of the magazine, it helps stir interest in the reader. This creates a sense of interest from the reader into then wanting to buy a subscription to read other articles in the magazine. Which then helps distribute the magazine to the readers online if they are buying more subscrptions. Creative Critical Reflection #1

How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My project is conventional and uses conventions throughout the magazine.Typically the front cover of a magazine has a mid shot to a close up for a background and it typically has the Magazine title with the other announcements on the page. This is typically what a conventional magazine. The color of thee magazine in this instance is extremely bright and has more lighting in the picture. A magazine typically can both have darker lighting and also can have a lighter type of lighting. My magazine has a dark lighting which is still conventional compared to other magazines. So as you can see my magazine has darker lighting which is stereotypically conventional compared to other magazines. So the front cover is mostly conventional with what most other magazines have. 3rd quarter revison/submission

These are my revisions for the third quarter. If you look at the comparisons you can see that the table of contents and the cover for the magazine have changed drastically since the beginning forms of the magazine. For the table of contents i changed the layout of the page to make it more organized. Instead of having it more simple i created it to be more appealing. As well as to make it easier for the reader to find out where they should be going. The coverpage i made it so the reader would be drawn to a few certain areas of the page. I changed the font and the location of the words to make it overall more appealing to the reader. The editing of the final submission is still a work in progress however. Throughout the continuation of the next few weeks i will be editing the spread of the two magazine articles. by adding new pictures and changing the layout of the page.
